One of the ministries which I assist is called the “Eden Bus.” It is a double-decker bus with play-stations, tables and chairs, televisions, and so forth. There are two in the Manchester area, and one comes to a location near me on Monday evenings. This past Monday, there was a bit of an incident with a younger lad. The circumstances and specific details are irrelevant, but I was reminded of the potential influence ministries like this have. He was being asked to leave by the lady in charge, and refused to budge at the door. He was cowering in the corner to protect his stance, and clearly stating that he was going to hold his ground. The lady in charge was able to tell him “you know we’re here because we care about you. We want you to be here.” As soon as she said this, his entire body shifted. He curled and wrapped his hands around his ears. As I was watching this troubled boy, I was reminded of what’s “really going on.” He eventually got off the bus, but I have since been praying for specific people on “the Bus” and elsewhere, because of that reminder I received on Monday Evening.
