In my last blog I mentioned that I was going a few places in this corner of the world for my spring break. Let me tell you briefly about each. For whatever reason I cannot put pictures in this post, so you’ll have to go to the “my photos” section to see the ones I’ve posted.
I was in Geneva, Switzerland for really only an afternoon and an evening, when you subtract transportation from the schedule. It was lightly snowing the whole time, which made it most picturesque. I knew I was in Switzerland when I exited the plane and saw Rolex retailers in the airport. The city itself was nice. To be honest, it wasn’t as clean as I thought it would have been, but that didn’t bother me too much.
I then went to Aberdeen, Scotland. It was a 9.5 hour bus ride each way. Going there wasn’t so bad, but returning was because I knew exactly how long I would be sitting. The city of Aberdeen is known as the “granite city,” because all (literally all) the buildings are made of granite. Finally, I went to Worcester, England to visit a missionary couple who invited me to their home. They took me around their area, and also to a church plant on Sunday morning. It was enlightening to talk with them about their years of ministry in the UK, and how they go about planting churches.
In other news, I’d ask for your prayers concerning this summer. I did not get the job I wanted, so I’m not sure where exactly I should be going, and what I should be doing. I’d appreciate your prayers for direction. Thanks.
