It’s been a long time since i’ve posted an update. I have been busy with things pertaining to this missions trip, including things like figuring out whether to get a down comforter and buy a duvet cover, or buy sheets to make a duvet cover, or to simply buy a comforter. I’ve also been busy applying to college, which includes interviews, meetings with my former guidance counselor, etc. Of course there are also jobs i need to do around the home, such as mowing grass. I came in the house this early afternoon to get a drink and found that i have been selected for jury duty during the time i will be in Britain. At that point i just wanted to scream. Then as i was holding the letter from the court while looking at the grass, i remembered the mighty words recorded in the book of Isaiah: “the grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” It’s very hard not to get distracted when i have irrevocable time deadlines and a lot to do by then. I ask that you pray that i keep all the things i have yet to do in their proper perspective. If i can put it this way, i ask that you pray that i remember that no check-list is mightier than the word of God.
