Well, i suppose i should let you bona fide readers know how much support i've raised. as of today, i have about 4,500.00, praise God.

our church had a guest speaker a while ago. His name is Dr. Peter Jones, a brit as you might infer. he actually was childhood friends with john lennon. anyway, he gave a really interesting sermon. his point was that "all is not one; it is two." by that he means that there is very much a separation between heaven and earth. God is seated on the throne in heaven-- which is not to say that he is not on earth, but he is definately in heaven. some of you scientific people might think about schroedinger's cat. the theory goes something like this: there is this box, and in this box is a cat. the cat is there, and it's not there, just dont open the lid. that explains the electrons in an atom or something to that extent. recall the blog about how God manifests himself in all of creation. Here it is again. Dr. Jones was saying that God is everywhere; He is omniscient, but he is also somewhere specifically.* anyway, he also pointed out that Jesus' prayer starts out "our father
who art in heaven"
He went on to say that we dont make ourselves holy by being in the world. rather, it is when the holy spirit comes down from heaven to be with us that we are holy. it's a neat understanding to realize that we dont have some religion where we pray to a god on our level. the Living God is
so far above us.

again, thank you all for your support.

*i read somewhere about this word ubiquity. it was in a book on the reformation, and of course no dictionary had any explanation on the theological term. in fact, i had never heard the term before. so i asked someone who i knew would know, and he said that some people believe that God is everywhere but no where in particular, whereas others believe that he is everywhere and somewhere specifically. i'm sure you all can die happy people now, knowing about ubiquity.
